Amira Willighagen is a Dutch soprano, who won the sixth season of Holland’s Got Talent in 2013 at the age of nine. Willighagen auditioned for Holland’s Got Talent and impressed the panel of judges with her version of “O Mio Babbino Caro” from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi so that the judges looked on in awe and disbelief seconds later. Her performance quickly became a hit on YouTube with over 42 million views as of September 2021. In the semi-final, she performed Gounod’s “Ave Maria”. “You’re a star who deserves to be on stage!” said Dan Carati, one of the judges, after her performance in the semi-finals of Nessun Dorma, from Puccini’s Turandot.
She won the competition, gaining more than 50% of the votes of viewers and viewers. After the success of Holland’s Got Talent, during 2014 Willighagen was invited to various TV shows: on the South African Internet station Channel 24, on March 21 in Omroep Gelderland (Netherlands), on May 11 in Life4You – Carlo & Irene on RTL 4 (Netherlands). June 7th at Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel (Welcome to Carmen Nebel) on ZDF (Germany), on RTL (German TV channel) with a performance of “I Have a Dream”, August 20th at Susana Giménez on Telefe (Argentina), and December 21 at Du coté de chez Dave on France 3.
