How to become a tennis champion? Is it the result of training and good coaching, or are there certain innate abilities that determine who succeeds and who doesn’t? Remember when you were in school, there were always very smart kids in the math class? They could come up with answers much faster than the rest of the class.

Yet most of these smart kids had no more math lessons than other kids. No, they just had a present. Mathematics lessons provided them with additional “training” to develop this gift on a higher level. In fact, they could be taught higher mathematics and continue to follow while others would not understand even if the subject was explained to them over and over again.

Tennis, in my opinion, is a very similar story. Except it’s much more difficult. A math genius is great when it comes to solving equations, but can be very bad at foreign languages, history, and other subjects. Not to mention physical education…
