Tyler Butler-Figueroa was a violinist on the 14th season of America’s Got Talent. He finished in the last five of the top 10. Tyler returned for AGT: The Champions 2, where he finished the competition in 3rd place. Tyler Butler-Figueroa from Raleigh, North Carolina. He was diagnosed with leukemia at age 4, but has now been in remission for four years after chemotherapy.

He first discovered the violin after seeing a flyer at school offering free violin lessons after school, which helped him overcome bullying at school due to his cancer. He performed on the streets of downtown Raleigh. Tyler Butler-Fijeroa’s audition for episode 1403 consisted of playing Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” violin. Impressed by his performance, Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer, sending Tyler straight to the quarterfinals.

Tyler Butler-Figueroa’s quarter-final performance on episode 1413 consisted of playing the Swedish House Mafia song “Don’t You Worry Child” on violin. Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell gave him a standing ovation. Tyler received enough votes to reach the semi-finals in Episode 1414 in place of Joseph Allen.
