The little dancer wowed audiences with his Pow wow dance on National Indigenous Day… ?VIDEO

What started as a celebration of National Indigenous Day has turned into an internet sensation. Martina Desjarlais was at the powwow at Camrose last Thursday when her two-year-old son Albert Apsassin stole the show.

Dressed in what Desjarlais called red and white chick dancewear, the little girl jumped up and began to dance with the two men. It wasn’t long before he stole the spotlight in front of a crowd of around 3,000 people.

“A family friend asked us to come out and dance, and I asked if Albert could join us,” Desjarlet said. “Everyone was amazed and they all thought he was pretty cute and everyone was like, ‘Wow, he’s so cute.’ Just a warm heart, and the day was made for everyone.” But that wasn’t the only attention Apsassin got. Desjarlais posted a video of her son dancing on Facebook, and as of Wednesday afternoon, the video had been viewed more than a million times.
