Simon thinks a star is born when Fayth Ifil steps into the Britain’s Got Talent spotlight…

Faith Ifil is a singer who reached the semi-finals of the 14th series of the British Talent Show. She was 12 at the time of her audition. She received Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer. She previously starred in West End productions of TINA – Tina Turner’s School of Rock Music. She shared how she used to practice singing at her grandparents’ house, adding, “I really want my family to be proud.” At the audition, she performed a rendition of “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner. Simon remarked “I really like your character” before clicking on his Golden Buzzer, automatically sending her to the semi-finals.

In her semi-final performance, she performed “Stand Up For Something” by Andra Day. David called the performance “the best performance of the evening” and Alyosha added, “I really admire you for standing there and doing some really strong vocals.” In the winter of 2020, Ifil sang a rendition of Lily Allen’s “Somewhere Only We Know” to support Attraction’s performance alongside Suparnika Nair, Beau Dermott, Asanda and Sarah Ikumu as part of Britain’s Got Talent Christmas play.
