Sarah Patricia Jones is a British salsa dancer, best known for winning the Spanish talent show Tú sí que vales with her dance partner Nico in 2009. In 2014, Paddy and Nico competed in the eighth series of the British Talent Competition. , where they finished ninth overall. She is currently listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “The oldest acrobatic salsa dancer”. In 2014, Paddy and Nico auditioned for the eighth season of the television series Britain’s Got Talent. Their audition was broadcast on ITV in the UK on 12 April. At the end of the audition, judge Amanda Holden used her Golden Buzzer to send the pair straight to the semi-finals. Simon Cowell hummed the performance, but then apologized, saying that he hummed too soon.
On May 29, it was reported that Paddy and Nico would have to withdraw from the show after Paddy broke her rib while rehearsing for a new number with Nico, with Amanda Holden expressing her disappointment: “Ever since I first saw Paddy’s dance, I fell in love with her… And I really think she could have won the whole show.” However, the following day, it was announced that Paddy and Nico would still be on the show, as Paddy’s health had improved from her injury and doctors gave her the go-ahead. Paddy said she told the show’s producers that she thought it was “good enough for dancing”, noting, “Britain’s talent scout is something I really want to do.” Paddy and Nico advanced to the final of the show on May 31, passing the semi-finals with three positive votes from the judges over singer Bailey McConnell. They performed another routine in the live final on June 7, 2014, placing ninth overall.
In 2015, they participated under the name “Paddy and Nico” in the German version of the show “Das Supertalent”. They reached the final on December 12, 2015. They finished ninth out of twelve candidates. In 2019, Paddy and Nico were invited to appear on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. They advanced to the final after receiving a golden signal from referee David Walliams. They were eliminated in the final. In 2020, Paddy and Nico were invited to appear on America’s Got Talent: The Champions (Season 2). Unfortunately they have been removed.
