Man sings only five words and ‘The Voice’ judges turn immediately

Dressed in a lovely purple coat, with a large silver cross dangling from his neck, Jimi Bellmartin was looking dapper and confident for his blind audition on ‘The Voice.’

It was the senior competition of ‘The Voice’ Holland, but it was difficult to tell that his man was 69-year-old. He had the heart and soul of a much younger person.

His song choice was ‘It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World’ by James Brown, and he channeled the late singer’s voice perfectly. It took only five words for something quick and unexpected to happen.

All the judges pressed the buttons on their chairs and turned at the same time. Well, perhaps Jimi Bellmartin did see it coming, but the judges certainly didn’t.

Everyone’s jaws were on the floor as they watched the senior sing effortlessly. He let his heart out on stage and two of the judges couldn’t help but stand up from their chairs.

Jimi Bellmartin closed his eyes, letting the song and his amazing voice fill the air. The energy was palpable, his performance was electrifying. From backstage, his family cheered him on.

As soon as the song ended everyone burst from their chairs to give him a standing ovation. It was unlike anything they had ever seen. His voice was deep and soulful, and he stayed cool the entire time.
