Mart Hoogkamer is a Dutch singer who rose to fame after appearing on the eighth season of Holland’s Got Talent. Despite finishing second in the competition, he signed with Sony Music and became a star. In this performance, Mart sings passionately and energetically the classic cover of The Isley Brothers hit “Unchained Melody”. He is dressed in a smart black suit, white collared shirt and white tennis shoes.

As he sings, he is lifted onto a platform 20 feet above the stage. He is supported by guitars, keyboards, drums and backing vocalists. The arena is lit up with incredible lighting effects and smoke machines. Behind him on the stage are the giant glowing letters that make up his name “MARCH”. The crowd sways and sings along to the timeless lyrics. Couples lovingly dance together.

March went viral with a YouTube cover of the same song. He recently released his first number one hit “Ik go Swiming”. He reached number one on the Dutch Top 40 and Dutch Single Top 100 charts. Although Mart is young, he has been singing in competitions for a long time. As a child, he began participating in the “Children Sing with the Stars” competition, where he also took 2nd place.
