Everything about Chloe’s performance is just magical…

Chloe Chua is a Singaporean violinist. Together with Christian Li in Geneva, Switzerland, she won the first prize in the junior division of the 2018 Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists. She is also the winner of the 24th Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition in the A category. his mother, a music teacher. Her teacher is Yin Ke, who began teaching her at the age of 4 at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and in the string section of the Young Talents School. She has performed all over the world in places such as the UK, Italy, China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, as well as festivals such as the New Virtuosi Queenswood Mastercourse and the Singapore Violin Festival. Chua has also performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, the Russian National Youth Orchestra, Kammerorchester Basel and the China Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2018, Chua and Christian Li were awarded first prize in the junior division of the Menuhin Competition.

After her performance at the Menuhin Competition was featured in the 2018 video “Is Ling Ling a Girl?” Music YouTubers Brett Yang and Eddie Chen of TwoSet Violin Chua visited in September 2020 and gave a master class on the piece Paganiniana, written by violinist Nathan Milstein. She also took part in “Ling Ling Workout” with Chen and Yang released in March 2021, and a later parody video released in May 2021. Chua played violins such as the 1884 Vincenzo Postiglioni on loan from Dr. Peter Chu and on a year’s loan on a 1625 Amati violin from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins. She currently performs on Peter Guarneri, Mantua 1729, on loan from the Rin Collection.
