We live in a world where employee appreciation and loyalty are not as common as they used to be. The workplace is competitive and some staff feel that if he doesn’t shut up and do his job when the boss asks, he can easily be replaced.

But that’s not the case at every company, and a city manager from Maryland in the United States is showing not just his employees, but the world, how a boss can change after his surprise for his staff turns be made known. “Properties of St. John’s, a Maryland-based real estate company, hosted its year-end party to celebrate its annual accomplishments.

But what they didn’t know was the magnitude of the reward they would receive for their hard work. Each of the company’s 198 employees received a red envelope with their annual bonus, but what they didn’t know was that their boss added a little extra to each of their bonuses. “Thank you for their hard work” ․

Company founder and president Edward Sant. John took to the stage and announced that the company had achieved its annual target of selling offices, shops and warehouses totaling almost 2,000 dunams. “To celebrate accomplishments and purpose, we wanted to reward our employees in a way that would make a big difference in their lives,” he said. “I am grateful to each of our employees for their hard work and dedication.

I couldn’t think of a better way to show it. Upon opening the envelope, they discovered that they had each received a share of $10,000,000. The whole room was amazed and the men and women were excited. “We are nothing without a team,” said the company founder. Watch their overwhelming reaction in the video below.
