Everyone was thrilled at the sound of her voice. The television series Got Talent has spread all over the world. In the age of the Internet, people from all over the world can observe people from every country and learn about their amazing talents. For many, auditioning for their country’s version of Got Talent means getting a chance they wouldn’t otherwise have. This is exactly what happened to young Jelena Brnich when she appeared on Supertalent in 2018.
Supertalent is a Croatian broadcast of the TV series Got Talent. Elena was only 13 years old when she took the stage to perform “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten. Dressed in a simple gray dress and white sneakers, she sang with poise and concentration. But from the very beginning it was clear that the judges would be amazed. Elena’s voice is both sweet and powerful, with a range far beyond the capabilities of most adults. Though her performance was devoid of any frills, it didn’t need them. Her voice stood on its own. By the time she finished, the judges, her family backstage, and much of the audience were in tears.
One of the most satisfying sights was the huge group of friends who gathered to watch her audition. They wore shirts with her name on them and cheered her on when she sang. Many of them were moved to tears by Elena’s bright performance. Some of them even hugged each other and jumped up and down in excitement for their friend. And, of course, the highlight of the audition was the judge Maya Shuput, overwhelmed with emotions. She immediately gave Elena her Golden Buzzer, thanks to which she reached the semi-finals in Croatia.
