British guitarist Alexandra Whittingham plays Capricho Arabe Francisco Tárrega (1852–1909). This is reported by her wonderful YouTube channel. A bright young talent, Whittingham (20) is now studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has made multiple appearances on the site and it’s great to see her career and music continue to flourish.

After studying classical guitar, piano, jazz guitar and composition at the world famous Chetham School of Music for seven years, Alexandra Whittingham received a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. After receiving first class honors and the Timothy Gilson Guitar Award in 2019, she returned to the Royal Academy the following year to complete her master’s degree.

She graduated with honors, a Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music (awarded for outstanding performance at the final recital), and a Regency Award for outstanding academic achievement.
