The thoughtful teenager traveled across America to surprise his childhood best friend by dressing up as a FedEx delivery man, causing her legs to buckle. Sultana Kotrides, 16, and Jori Knauf, 15, became best friends while growing up as neighbors in Rochester, New York from 2006 until 2016, when the Soultana family moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Despite the distance between them, Soultana would still return to Rochester every year to visit Jory and his family. But this year, due to COVID-19 precautions, that trip was cancelled, exacerbating the frustrations Sultana had already faced in her senior year of high school. Knowing how upset his best friend was, Jory and his family began to work on a plan for a surprise visit to South Carolina.
