On March 23-29, the VII International competition-festival of children’s and youth creativity “The Future of the Planet” was held in St. Petersburg. For the first time, our region was represented by the dance group “Smiliki” of the exemplary dance ensemble “Rosinki of Transbaikalia”. The guys became laureates of the 1st degree in the nomination “Variety dance”, the soloist of the ensemble Anastasia Bogachenko took second place in the nomination “Solo. Folk dance”.

A strict jury, which included: the choreographer of the St. Petersburg Music Hall Theater A. Sinyakin, stage costume designer of the Mariinsky Theater E. A. Tarasova, teachers of the Academy of Russian Ballet. Chairman, teacher of the Academy of Russian Ballet S.V. Gorbatov, and all members of the jury highly appreciated the work of the Chita artists, noted the high level of training and the emotional expressiveness of the performances of the band members.

47 teams from different regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition: Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Sochi, Ulyanovsk, Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod, Republic of Bashkortostan, Veliky Novgorod, Kurgan, Smolensk, Volgograd, Ukraine, Republic of Tatarstan, Astrakhan Region, Kaluga Region , St. Petersburg, Surgut, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk region Zlatoust, Orenburg, KhMAO-Yugra, the Republic of Sakha, Ussuriysk, Arkhangelsk, YaNAO, Noyabrsk, and other cities.

Pupils of the dance group have been studying in the ensemble for the third year under the author’s educational program “Rosinki of Transbaikalia”, and, despite their young age, managed to show their creativity at choreographic competitions: “To you, Chita, smiles of childhood!”, where they became winners, receiving the highest award Grand Prix, at the city competition of dance art “Crystal Slipper”, where they became Laureates in the nomination “Variety Dance”.
