The seventeenth season was announced on March 31, 2022, and will return with the same judges and host as the previous two seasons. The season premiered on May 31, 2022. This season was won by the dance group Mayyas, with dancer Christy Sellars in second place and singer and guitarist Drake Milligan in third place.
The live show went on hiatus after the 2010 run and resumed in 2012 with a new host and performances by season seven finalists Olathe Dawgs, Spencer Horsman, Joe Castillo, Lightwire Theatre, David Garibaldi and his CMYK’s, Jarrett and Raja, and Tom Cotter. Another tour was planned for 2013, featuring season eight cast members Kenichi Ebina and finalists Collins Kee, Jimmy Rose, Taylor Williamson, Cami Bradley, The KriStef Brothers, and Tone the Chiefrocca. 2014 A new tour was planned for 2018, which will consist of performances by top season nine finalists Matt Franco, Emily West, Quintavious Johnson, AcroArmy, Emil & Dariel and season 8 runner-up Taylor Williamson.
On October 7, 2022, NBC announced its third spin-off of the show AGT. Like America’s Got Talent. The Champions, America’s Got Talent. All-Stars will feature winners, finalists, fan favorites and others from previous seasons of AGT’s Got Talent franchise competing for the All-Star title. The series, with judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel and host Terry Crews, will begin production in October 2022 and premiere in 2023.
