2 Sisters Sing An Easter Version Of ‘Hallelujah’ And It Makes For A Stunning Duet

Sisters Cassandra Star and Callahan sing a beautiful Easter version of ‘Hallelujah’, reminding us all of the real reason for the season!

This powerful song was originally written by Kelley Mooney when she was asked to sing Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ at church one Sunday.

After looking closely at the song, Kelley realized that the original lyrics did not line up with the story of Easter at all. She thought that it would not be a good idea to sing those lyrics, so she came up with a great idea to re-write the song to tell the real story of Easter.

Now, this amazing song tells of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

“A crown of thorns placed on His head

He knew that He would soon be dead

He said did you forget me Father did you?”

Today, sisters Cassandra Star and Callahan are performing this Easter hymn and it’s absolutely stunning. On YouTube, the girls shared that this performance was dedicated to their nana who “needs extra love & prayers right now…. this is her favourite song.”

What a beautiful reminder of the real meaning of Easter. Who else is saying amen?

“They nailed Him to a wooden cross

Soon all the world would feel the loss

Of Christ the King before His Hallelujah”
